At Heavyweights Training Center, we do as much as we can to give back and help those in need.
Considering our big group workouts, charity hurricanes, and many other amazing events we have done all year, I couldn’t be happier with what we do. You can check our charity page at HWTC here.
Out of nowhere a few days ago I told Danielle that I wanted to do something for fundraising for animals in need. We have 4 dogs and 2 cats. 2 of our dogs are rescues, as is 1 of our cats, and nothing melts our heart more than helping animals in need.
A big turning point in my life this year was adopting our senior rescue dog Max. He was only with us for a few months, but he made a huge impact on Danielle and I. Although he is gone, his impact still remains with me every day.
One night last week my sleep issues paid off, and I came up with the idea for “Push Ups For Puppies”.
I decided to take Saturday afternoon and for every $1 donated, I would do 1 push up in return to help puppies in need.
How did it go? Well let’s just say I am grateful for short arms, big chest and being surrounded by so many caring and amazing people! Yesterday at Heavyweights Training Center, $1,133 was donated for Push Ups so I cranked out 1, 133 push ups in 3 hours.
Combined, we have raised $12,500 for Heavenly Creatures in our first ever Push Ups For Puppies charity event. We hit our goal, and I am grateful for the amazing people we have at HWTC who are our “family” and are always there to help out, donate and give back.
THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who donated, brought in their puppies for a social, and helped out in any way.
Push Ups For Puppies 2013 was a HUGE Success and will feed and help many puppies in need at Heavenly Creatures this holiday season.
