I hate spinach.
I hate salads of all kinds pretty much.
However living in Newfoundland we get winter for like 13 months of the year sometimes so fresh spinach and berries isn’t always an option.
However it is ESSENTIAL to eat Spinach as it is by far one of the best foods you can eat. The benefits are huge (read more info on this blog post) 3 Foods You Should Be Eating.
So I need to get spinach, I hate to eat it, I hate cooking, so how do I get it, and lot’s of it?
FREEZE & BLEND IT that’s how.
One of my HeavyWeights Nation members shared the freezing spinach concept with me months ago.
The benefits of freezing your spinach are many. No more wasted spinach from it going bad, no more eating out dated spinach, no more wasting food (I hate wasting food…hate it….for numerous reasons).

So along with freezing my spinach I now also BLEND IT and add it to every single protein shake I have. I can’t taste it, I don’t notice, win win situation.
I always have minimum 2 shakes a day.
My first shake is always first thing in the AM before breakfast where I hit it with the following
– Almond Milk (Sugar Free)
– 2 handfuls of frozen mixed berries
– Vanilla protein powder
– 1 Teaspoon of PB2 powdered peanut butter (this is amazing if you like peanut butter)
– 1 Scoop Greens Powder
– 1-2 Scoops of Optimum Amino Energy
That is my morning shake and I have this almost every single morning and I love it.
